Need your Input on Painting....

I have a Jackson Dinky that originaly wa sblack and I sent it to paint in Pearlecent, bicolor paint Blue/lilac, the outcome was awesome! then 3 weeks later we took the guitar to the G3 Concert and it was signed by Joe Satriani, Erick Johnson and John Petrucci, and my kid son asked Mr. Satch if he could draw one of his weird "characters that he has on the line of straps" he did.... the outcome is a pretty signed on guitar:

Since the axe has a lot of mods and will recieve a Fernandes sustainer next week and I have to take it appart make some changes I tought of putting some more layers of clearcoats to protect the signatures and Mr. Satriani weirdo guy.... painting so I think...

Do I leave as it is?
or do I "paint it to make it stand out and give it more colour?

What do you think?

I'm not a big fan of signatures on guitars, but I agree with Mikey.

That pic #2 looks kinda cool Though I would NEVER do that to one of my guitars

Paint it like pic 2 and clear over it...

In fact, id go for a blueish shirt on the guy, instead of green

Re: Need your Input on Painting....

Yep the colours I think will be sparkle blue for the shirt a littl emore darkish skin tone and red pants, also the "shadow" of the guy is not very nociceable but the goal is to make it look more 3 D..

BTW Mr. Satrianni as as cool as Mr. Vai ( means he is a super cool guy )

Man.... I think I'd just cover it as it is in pic #2. Don't go overboard. It looks cool now, kinda cartoonish. Sometimes simplicity is the best way.

Well, it depends on what you think of Joe's artwork - would you add a moustache to The Mona Lisa?

I wouldn't screw with Satch's one of a kind piece of art. But, i'd say clear coat, Sustainer/Sustainiac all you want.

Re: Need your Input on Painting....

I never meat to sign that guitar that day, because it was like 3 weeks freshly painted and it has to be seen in daylight or under strong light to appreciate it, it changes colour so cool and it shinnes very brightly, but that day I had 3 choices, my black RR Jackson, my korina Top Les paul (NOOOOO) and the dinky..so it had to be the dinky...

Mr. Satrainni took a god 5-6 minutes to draw the weirdo guy, he really though about it and after signing it he draw it quite fast and even made jokes about Petrucci and Johnson signatures!!!
he showed us how he makes the Satch scream....

Tomorrow Ill pot pictures off the encounter since we took old fashiones photos...

best regards and thans 4 the comments
