All this talk lately about acoustics made me realize now was as good a time as any to sell some stuff and get an acoustic with a cutaway. The store where I work lost it's Martin dealership so I figured now was a good time to pick one up. I went with an Orchestra model instead of a Dreadnaught after A/B'ing 2 different models that were the saem woods. The D-size had much nicer
bass response, but the Orchestra sounded better overall, was more comfortable, im slightly better shape, and the one my classical playing friend and an older guy who is a monster Chet Atkins type plyer suggested. My classical playing friend also said the Orchestra model would record better, and he's more knowledgeable on recording acoustics than I am.
Anyway heres some pics. Martin has a real nice feature on their electric/acoustic where they have both a Piezzo pickups and a mic in the sound hole that you can blend together as much as you want, they also have a built in tuner which I really like.
Blah blah blah here's the pics
