Thanks dude. I actually requested that specifically cuz i thought it would look very good, and there ya have it. Unless youre lookin' at it up close you cant even tell that theres a plate cut out it just looks like theres no cavity =P

So..fellow jemsiters. Wood knobs, or chrome w/ abalone tops? Wood knobs (burl or walnut or something of the sort) would match the theme, chrome w/ abalone tops would work with the hardware. Suggestions please =]

Haha, well it is a CUSTOM made guitar after all. We'll see, for now I'll just go with regular cheap chrome dome ones until i decide what I want I guess.

Brand spankin new pic or two for ya fellas. Custom korina pickup rings all ready, bodys clearcoated and pretty much finished except for hardware installation and pups. Might get another coat or two of clear on the back, otherwise we're all set.

I wouldnt even know if youre supposed to or not (I assume youre not), I dont build em I just play em , but I'm positive that whatever the right way to do it is, thats how he did it. He's been building for 20+ years. Its just the lighting in his shop isnt the best so stuff reflects and whatnot.

I'm not too in favour of the middle pup ring. I do think it looks very nice and can't wait to see the finished product.

Yeah, I feel ya dude. I debated about the middle pickup ring for a WHILE actually, and decided that i like the look, similar to Carvins and such. It's def a hit or miss thing with some people. I think it kind of "tightens" up the look of the middle of the guitar, and helps to bring the white korina layer together with the front.
