I might just have him give me the ring and not drill the holes for the middle till i make up my mind, Idk we'll see. Either way this is shaping up to be the nicest guitar ive ever seen

I wouldn't put any pickup rings... I love how it looks without them...

Yeah, so I've heard from a few people, and I'm sure if/when they build their own customs they'll forego the pickup rings, but I like the look

Whether you go with the middle pickup ring or not, right on with the wood humbucker rings - very unusual but classy. Also, I vote for chrome knobs and such so all of the hardware matches

Thanks, and yeah i am gonna go for chrome dome-style knobs. My whole point with this guitar was to make it as unusual as I could...exotic woods, the korina frame around the front, wood cavity plate, custom wood rings and truss rod cover, so on and so forth . It's very possible that a few months from now I'm gonna ask my custom builder to make me another neck, like he did for my first custom. I like this neck and I like how it looks but in a couple months to a year I might wanna go for another COMPLETELY custom neck (as in custom fretboard inlay, etc, and not just a tree of life on flame maple).

You must be on pins and needles to get it plugged in and play it. Don't rush, enjoy your "Custom" New Guitar Day, those are a little more special than most NGD's in my book

Heh, bad news, we got delayed a few more days. BUT my builder's making it up to me by dropping the price, doing some cool work on the neck for free, and he's driving like 5 hours each way to bring it to me. Should be here Friday or Saturday.

Oh and I went for chrome dome knobs with green abalone tops, to tie in with the headstock inlay and the green mirror vine.
