This has suddenly turned around my desire for guitars.

Re: New ESP LTDs

They are still Ltd's in my eyes, but I've played a few LTD's that are alright. So maybe with a setup and a real esp decal and custom 12th fret inlay I can deal haha

Re: New ESP LTDs

I own a ESP LTD MH-400, it's by far my favorite guitar of the 5 i own.
For playability, build and features you can't go wrong.

A lot of bang for your buck!

I would suggest checking them out.

Re: New ESP LTDs

I've got a MH-1000 from a few years back, and its a great guitar. The LTD Deluxe-1000 series in general are as good as any in the same price range imho.

Rock on!

Re: New ESP LTDs

The binding on the neck makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little.

Re: New ESP LTDs

MHs look nice, I don't think I'd go for anything lower than 1000 though cos from then upwards you get an original floyd and all.

Having said that I was in this guitar shop in York today and they had an MH-53 and the neck looked lovely.

Plus, no shop around this area carries ESP so I can't try it before I buy it

By the LTD numbering, anything over 600 should have a Floyd Rose, maybe over 500, haven't seen any model number 500 that weren't hardtail. 1000 series seems primarily to be an aesthetic upgrade.

Nonsense. Ltd H 1000 for example is a hardtail.

Re: New ESP LTDs

I hated the change of headstock shape on the H series. What the **** was that about.

Well, I won't knock it till I've tried one, but I imagine if I had the money I'd stretch for a fully fledged ESP M/MH series.
