New Guitar Day :)
Some of you may have seen the ad Brian (chronicinsomnia) took out for the PRS Modern Eagle. I have been looking for one for a long time and had to pull the trigger. Even better, he only lives about 2 hours away. I drove out there today and picked her up, amazing amazing guitar. I have been trying to expand my tonal possibilities with the last few guitars, I think I am there. Now I just need a nice fender amp, maybe a vibroverb or a bassman, and a few analog pedals and I'll be all set. Anyhoo, here she is...

Re: New Guitar Day :)
By the way, I left positive for Brian, but besides that, he is a great guy and was a real pleasure to deal with. Had to be the easiest transaction ever. Just called him up, spoke for a few minutes, got on the road and he was there waiting when I arrived, guitar in hand.

When I saw you had it already I was thinking "Damn, UPS is getting good" but the local pickup explains it

Yeah, I am LOVING the Rory Strat also. That is an awesome machine. If you are looking for that real vintage strat sound, this is it, period. And it looks really cool too, I like it anyway. I think it is about the best bang for your buck for vintage strat tone. I got it for $2200 and she is a pretty light one. (I just noticed, you see which one the strap is on...)
The PRS is just an amazing guitar. Not only is it a stunning work of art, but man, it really all comes together when you play one. What tone. Even unplugged she just sings and sings and inspires you, I'm so happy I can hardly stand it

Does that toggle switch being in such an odd spot make it kind of hard to switch between pups?

Re: New Guitar Day :)
Nah, it's real easy for me, I actually prefer it there, I can just reach back and give it a quick slap. But the coil split is a push pull on the tone knob, so if I was switching between a coil split neck and a non coil split lead bucker, that might take a second.

Re: New Guitar Day :)
Thanks guys! I'm trying to get some fresh shots of the whole collection, BUT, we haven't had a sunny day here in forever and I don't have enough stands. I need to go buy 3 more stands
