Another jewel in my collection, old version of the JB Strat

Surf green- best strat color, big D neck- never thought that that big neck can be that lovely, fast, furious n' comfortable Also with very high action- it just screams, love everything about her, lace sensor set, variety of tones, color and overall feel. Lovely Fender. Period

I used to love those older Jeff Beck strat models, especially in that colour as you say. I have always wanted to try out the Lace Sensor Humbucker it has in the bridge too. How does it sound?

It is powerful, but not too much- It gives a way for the guitar wood to sound. I would describe it as a classic Strat HB sound- think of Bryan Adams or Bon Jovi - I'm using Marshall's so I think that's why these two sounds comes to my mind.
But with the tone and volume knobs your sounds are just up to you. You can play almost everything- from metal to jazz. Everything depends on your amp and fingers. Versitality is a word to describe this axe.

I agree. Still, the current Beck model has got to be the best Strat available now- they are so versatile. I really can't think of a style you can't pull off on them. Enjoy the new guitar- I'm jealous!
