New Guitar!!! Kramer Pacer 6000!


EDIT: **Focus, not Pacer, sorry)**

HSS (All Seymour Duncans, but don't know which, but they sound GREAT)
Alder Body
Red Paint Job
Maple Neck with Rosewood Fretboard
ORIGINAL FLOYD ROSE (Non Recessed)
1 Volume knob, 3 Individual Pickup switches
Non Tilt Headstock
Case Included
For....USD $350!

Absolutely MINT condition, everything original, and not a scratch on her!

why is the bridge pickup placed like the bridge pup of a strat?

It makes the pickup sound different, just like the bridge pickup on a Strat.

I think it places more emphasis on the bass strings to even out the tone. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the pickup would sound awfully trebley.

It causes the high and low E strings to be lined up differently with the poles than normally lined up and gives a different sound. Eddie Van Halen set his home-made guitar up this way. When Kramer endorsed him, they used that same setup. I presume this guitar is a mid-80s model.

Ed actually positioned his pickup in a weird way because he had to. The pole pieces were spaced for a Gibson, so he had to angle the pickup to align the pole pieces with his guitar's strings.

^Yes, the pickup was from a hollowbody and was different spacing than his strat style body.
