New Jackson RR1
Got my first RR1 about a week ago. I thought it was pretty stunning looking for a RR1, just one of those guitars I knew I had to have. Fortunately I was able to come to terms with the seller on a price which was more down to Earth than what was originally being asked. I guess you could say that I just like things that are a little bit different. It was set up beautifully right out of the box, really plays and sounds amazing.
I did sell one of my Jems to help pay for it but still have three left in addition to a JS1, none of which will be going anywhere in the near future.

Re: New Jackson RR1
Well, my opinion is that you can't possibly go wrong with a
custom shop
Jackson. I think it looks great and I bet it's a lot of fun to get on stage with.

Re: New Jackson RR1
I really love it. Some people have told me that they'd prefer black hardware but I think chrome was definitely the way to go. My first Jackson looked neat but was a real struggle to play for some reason. This one is a welcome improvement in playability to say the least. I love bending on the
ebony fretboard
too. So smooth and silky.

Re: New Jackson RR1
Reverse headstocks
on these might look neat but they are a little awkward to reach and tune when not locked down. Fortunately the thing stays in tune quite well so I shouldn't have to deal with it terribly often.

Re: New Jackson RR1
That is just far beyond killer Dude! I saw that same guitar online somewhere (or at least that same paint job on a different guitar) here recently, can't remember where. Did you buy it online? Nice score!!!!!!!

Re: New Jackson RR1
Thanks for the comments. I did buy it online, found it on the Bay of E actually. It was listed over and over at a very high price, causing me to drool profusely each time. Then they put "make an offer" which caused me to initiate negotiations and we settled on a level I could live with.
The "squid" flames can be found on different models. I like the 3-D effect you get from them. I was told that this is one of two RR1's ordered to these particular specs. I've been playing it all week and it really is sweet. You've got to be super careful not to ding that long horn though!

Re: New Jackson RR1
Flamed flames ? Now that's luxury. Sweet dude. She looks amazing. I heard great things of just the USA jacksons and i still haven't played one. Nevermind the custom shop! - this kid isn't even allowed near a USA.
Congrats dude!
she is a beauty!

Re: New Jackson RR1
Congrats.
Neckthru with a bad a$$ paint job, VERY nice.
I'd like to own a USA soloist or PC 1 with that paint job.
