NEW PRS INCOMING THIS DECEMBER

yeap! for all the PRS funs out there i have goodies news!

a friend of mine it's a PRS dealer in Nicosia, Cyprus, he told me that!
PRS right now it's creating a fookin shreedin tool for a real masserce and maybe should be ready this december!
i hope that's gonna be truth!

spec??

-basswood body
-neck thru
-floyd rose
-24 frets
-EMGs 81/85
-thiner neck (than other models)

and price?? he told me that's gonna be like between SE series and mira...that's mean around 1000 euros (1 Euro = 1.4763 U.S. dollars) $1450 ~ $1500

well...i hope that work

cheers!

Re: NEW PRS INCOMING THIS DECEMBER

I seriously doubt that. Not in the line of PRS whatsoever, not revealed at the Experience in september.

I remember in the early 90's when guitar dealers were saying that Ibanez would release the chromeboy, and in 98 it happened.

I also remeber from the mid 90's on the rumours that Ibanez would re-release the multicolour finish, and gosh, in 2000 it happened

PRS have long said they'd not produce guitars outside the USA, then we had the SE line.

A floyd equipped PRS isn't something that would surprise me. The neck through part would be!

It wasn't revealed but there was some mention of it in the "thank you" note Experience attendees got from PRSH - the "SE Torero" model and it was going to be a "shredder". It is going to be Korean, but I guess they will still price it between the other SEs and the Mira X.

Personally I want to try out the new Swamp Ash Special with the 3 narrowfield humbuckers.

Man, you might be right. Just read about the SE Toledo. Never believed this would happen (although I never believed the Custom 22 would be discontinued either). I will keep my mouth shut the next time

If you shoot an email to Eric Martin at Martin Music..... you will be able to put your name down for a Floyd equipped CU24. They are doing a commissioned run of 10 or 12. US built, Killer Tops etc.

Likewise. I asked the question on a PRS forum once and got the answer, 'because PRS stick to traditional designs', seemingly forgetting that The Log was a neck-through.

However: basswood? neck through? I don't see it. There's no real hook here either - the average PRS body isn't exactly 'metal', and they'd need something else to attract buyers to what's undoubtedly going to be a pretty expensive guitar - midway between SE and Mira is no longer 'cheap'.

The ones at Martins will be set-neck, not neck thru

Re: NEW PRS INCOMING THIS DECEMBER

Couldn't find a bigger picture but Ryan Phillips from Story of the Year got this one years ago, they've made plenty of Floyd guitars but they've all been custom shop, personally I welcome it, the only reason I bought my RGT220A was because I didn't have the money for a Custom Shop with a Floyd... tempted to buy one and put in my own Floyd though, I'm all about the PRS love!
