Ed Yoon pointed out in the Suhr forum thread that this guitar actually has a body, which is made of one piece quilted maple. I didn't notice until he pointed it out. It looks great, I think. You don't have that seam that you see on maple topped guitars, for instance. It's cool.

I would look cool with a non-Floyd bridge, yeah. You could always order it that way as a custom order.

I just found out that they call them 'exotic' because of the wood choices. It's not necessarily an aesthetic thing.

The fretboard is made of cocobolo, for instance. I'd never heard of that before.

I like Suhrs, but I'm not a fan of the "furniture wood" tops, as I call them (this goes for any guitar company).
