New unexpected member of the family: A Real ODD BALL
I used to gas over this guitar big time and to be honest I forgot all about it.. I went to the local GC here yesterday and seen it and brought back all those old feelings.
Luckily this thing is in dead mint shape for being 17 years old.. I was super impressed and the active electronics just make any amp scream. I cant wait to get her home and run it thru my rig.. I bought it and came right to work.
Shes a real odd ball to say the least. The
Alvarez Dana Scoop
. In ultra bright red.. And now I got a mint one for $200..
anyways heres a couple temp. pics till I get home and get some better ones..

I forgot all about those. I remember seeing them in a
Guitar mag
when they came out. I thought man that thing looks weird. I never got to check one out though. Good Score

Yeah, I've always been half-looking around for one of these too actually. They practically never come up in the UK though, but I always thought they were pretty sweet myself! Very nice guitar at a very nice price! Congrats.

Ive been inlove with that cutaway since 2 years back! haven't even bother to search for one just cause i thought i would have to look in the US while i live in sweden... well really really nice guitar! How does it sound? It is the original pickups? would like to know how you feel about the cutaway too

Re: New unexpected member of the family: A Real ODD BALL
HOLY CRAP!!! we had one in a pawn shop exactly like that one for several years. i am not the biggest fan of them, even though i like 80s shred machines, but that one SCREAMS 80s. congrats to you for the cheap score. does that one have the graphite neck?
