"I’m waiting to find out more info but the basics from what I’ve heard/read are that they are being built on the same line as the USA made
fender strats just using the Charvel CNC program to get the neck/headstock and body shapes correct. the hardware is one area they skimp a bit...the Floyds are ping not OFR (the best of the cheap Floyds not junk but not the real deal) and the tuners are mini Grovers which I'm most upset about since I hate the look of Grovers on anything but a Les Paul and Charvel was never know for Grovers either. No idea why they didn't just go with Gotohs on them which would be more correct. That’s just a bit of a visual nit pick on my part. I’m not sure if the necks are oil finished or poly finished. I hope they did them in correct Charvel fashion and oil finished them. However being that they are production model guitars using lower grade wood than the custom shop guitars I wouldn't be shocked if they did a satin poly finish on them to make sure they stay straight. Also from the raw pics I saw the bodies seem to be mostly 3pc for those who like to count.
all in all I think these could be real cool and I’d like to get my hands on one when they get in stock at the music zoo since they're local to me and see how far off it is from my custom shop Charvels. that basic black San Dimas style 1 is calling me a bit...and the candy red isn't to shabby either.
