NGD and a GREAT deal
So I was walking into a pawn shop that I haven't been to in at least a year and a half. The first thing I see is a Kramer Gorky Park guitar in a custom case priced at $600. WAY over priced even if it was autographed. Then sitting in a corner propped against the wall was a standard black case with a VERY nice bright green
Carvin
. On my way over to inspect it, I was expecting the price to be somewhere around $600-$700, considering the Kramer. When I saw the $250 price tag i was a bit shocked. I was even more surprised when I found out the case, strap, some picks and 2 mini screw drivers were included as well. Of course I told the guy I only had $200. They decided that the would take it, no tax. $205 out the door. After further inspection, I have found that it is indeed a US made Carvin, has coil splitters, is neck-thru, and has a Carvin branded trem stamped "Made in the USA by
Kahler
" I think over all I got one of the best deals ever on this guitar. And now for the pics.

Re: NGD and a GREAT deal

Re: NGD and a GREAT deal
Pretty good deal dude, those go for about 500ish normally. Ive never had any luck with pawnshops but i have had tons of luck with craigslist. $1400 strat for $299 once (still have it and love it); etc.
There's something about getting a great steal on a guitar that makes ya enjoy it even more. Congrats dude

One other thing. How does that thing stay in tune with no locking nut?

Re: NGD and a GREAT deal
Yah callen, you dont need the locking nut with sperzel locking tuners. One of my custom builds has a Schaller Floyd Rose with the locking sperzels and I use a bone nut with it.
