NGD Clone #11 comes home
I picked up another guitar today that was built by Mike D'Avanzo. For those that do not know who Mike is, he is a total Charvel freak and builds some of the best Charvel clones out there.
You can see his work here.
http://www.xssiveguitars.com/
Anyway, Mike and I share a love of strathead Charvels and I have been after him to build me something cool, but Mike has a full time job already (
http://www.mirabellaguitars.com/
) and just did not have the time.
Just when all hope seemed lost, Clone #11 popped up for sale. I had to have it, and now it is mine.
Here she is when she left Mike.
Unfortunately, she is not looking that good today, and may need a repaint. I think it is destiny because Mike said he was never 100% happy with the paint when he finished it.
Once I decide what to do, I will post up the "after". Right now I am just going to enjoy it.

That's one classy lookin' axe. Loving that maple board!! Nice one! Feeling that Charvel G.A.S myself now funnily enough.

Very nice Chris. A simple hot-rod metal machine.

Fantastic guitar...
The pup is a Seymour Duncan Warren DeMartini model, OFR, and a D Tuna.
What more do you need?

Re: NGD Clone #11 comes home
I should be specific when I say 'bomber graphic', I don't mean a DiMartini bomber, but a Dan Lawrence Bomber style, like
this
or something.

Some very cool paint jobs on that site!
I am not really much of a graphics guy, but I really want the DeMartini "Frenchie".
It is definitly going to have to be repainted, and I have already torn it down for shipping. I just have to make a decision on what I want.
