There's the new Gretsch and slightly used DRRI. The Gretsch may get the cliche dice knobs, Im going to look into mods for the DRRI. The thing most people suggest is a new speaker, new tubes and rebias. Apparently Fender biases the amp pretty cold to make the tubes last longer. I may look into modding the Vibrato channel to making it a dirty channel or something more useful.

Beautiful! Can't go wrong with that amp and I've been gassin' for a classy Gretsch hollowbody like yours - this ain't helping!

what do you play with that ?? rockabilly ??? c'mon cid why would you put a SG61 away for this

IBZ/USA, I hope they will give me a good shred tone, but will also be useable for blues, and jazz.

the 61 RI went to get money for the DRRI, I just happend to be able to pick up both the amp and guitar for the same amount as most places sell the amp for. The store actually has 2 of the GoTW 61RIs. I wanted to pick one of those up anyway, now I have a good excuse to.

All joking aside it is a real sweet guitar. I can imagine the sweet jazz sounds you get out of that combo.

Waylay, yeah its an Electromatic, as much as I like to avoid Korean instruments, I couldnt see spending 5 times as much on my first Gretsch. If the experiment goes well though a Setzer may be in my future. Im thinking about throwing some TV Jones Classics in there, but at $130 each they would cost me almost as much as the guitar. Maybe my guy can get me those too.

The guitar looks cool Cid but, the first thing I always think about when I see a Gretsch is Brian Setzer and that's the thing that steers me away from them. I do like that color though, something about orange on a hollowbody looks cool to me.
