NGD: "Put them in the Iron Maiden."
Okay, so about a month ago I sold my Schecter C7 with the intent of building something like this:
Which is based on Adrian Smith's guitar from Death On The Road(it can also be seen in some backstage shots on Flight 666):
I think it turned out pretty well:
Specs:
Alder MIM Fender
Strat
Body
One Piece Maple Neck, 16" Radius, Jumbo frets, 1 11/16" Nut
Gotoh Floyd(w/ D-Tuna) and Nut
Grover Tuners
Dimarzio Super Distortion
GFS NeoVin NEO9 and NEO7
Warmoth pickguard and backplate.
All Fender pots, switch, jack, neckplate, knobs, etc.

Not if the bridge only lowers pitch. The D-Tuna doesn't work correctly on floating bridges anyway, the bridge needs to be blocked so it can't raise pitch, or have something like a Tremol-no.

Excellent, I love hot-rodded Strats and I've been a Maiden fan since I started listening to metal. That's a nice piece of kit you've got yourself there.
Currently wanting one of
THESE
pretty badly

Yeah, those are sweet, just a bit out of my reach, price wise.
This
was more my cost level(got a good deal), after some mods.

Yup, those Charvels are very nice indeed. Problem is, they keep changing the damned colours and I know if I bought one the next batch would have something that looked even better...

That is nice. The OP's build looks good too. I built something like that a while back...
