NGD: Schecter
Yeah, I just exchanged this with an RG350MDX. Not that the Ibanez wasn't a nice guitar; it was great. I just played one of these and I completely fell in love. Here are the pics!

Re: NGD: Schecter
I never managed to try a
schecter
, thus I've a question for you.
Most schecter have fender like diapason but how about the string spacing?
Especcially the ones like your, is it the same as Gibson or they are using a special TOM?
Between really nice guitar

I believe they are using a standard TOM without any special things done to them.
And, I didn't quite understand the question about the string spacing, but I like the string spacing on this model much better than other guitars because they are not too close together and they aren't really spaced apart like other guitars. I'd compare it to a PRS Paul Allender.

Re: NGD: Schecter
Yeah, I was gonna say they have the feel of PRS at 5% of the price. Not bad guitars at all, really.

Well sorry I realized that my post was pretty unclear...
I was just asking if the string spacing si more modern fender/floyd like (54mm) or Gibson like (less than 52mm). You answer my question I guess it's gibson like
(and I tend to prefer that kind of spacing too and I'm interest in some of the new schecter V hence my question).
One again nice guitar

Re: NGD: Schecter
Nice, congrats! I'm not an EMG fan but I really like Schecters.
I am fighting GAS right now for the '09 BlackJack C-1 FR guitars. Real JB/'59, set neck with smooth heel, all mahogany neck and body, rosewood fretboard (or is it ebony?), Original Floyd, Grover tuners and I actually really dig the new black jack inlays.

Re: NGD: Schecter
Thanks! After getting this I am torn between Ibanez and Schecter.
Blackjacks look very cool; most people think they card inlays look cheesy, but I think they look really cool. Yeah, it's rosewood. Do you have their catalog? That thing will give you G.A.S. like never before. The Jeff Loomis sig and the Hollywood Classic look perty. I wouldn't mind having either.
I quite like active pickups, but these are passive EMG's and I was surprised because I thought they would sound terrible, but in reality they're wonderful. I can get a nice chunky "chugga chugga" on my bridge and the neck pickup is GREAT for soloing because the tone is not too thick like the other neck pickups I used. But, eventually they're gonna be the SD Blackouts.

Re: NGD: Schecter
I've heard some good things about the Blackouts, Schecter even has a model w/ them stock.
I used to own a Blackjack C-7 and was impressed by the thick tone. A friend has a Classic that he plays more than his Les Paul and Strat, he just digs the thick tone and smooth playability. IMHO Schecter make a good bang for the buck guitar.
