NGD Vandenberg...almost here :)

Just found a super minty Vandenberg for the collection. These are some pics of it sent by the seller. Coming in a custom flight case, with original pickups and some case candy! Red isnt usually a color I would buy, but hey its a Vandy.

Cool one...i have always liked the Vandenbergs, was about to pick one up like a year ago but it slipped my hands. Wonder how it plays?guess the neck is thin? Congrats!

Yes it is supposed to be pretty thin...one can only hope wizard thinness. Too bad it is going to get here while I am out of town, I wont be able to play it till July

I wish I could claim it is a custom shop, but it is in the first series of the production ones. I need to double check the serial but I believe it was under 2000.

Aha ok...juli...to bad. There's just some very cool 80-ties factor about that guitar, guess it could be because of whitesnake era...report later about the guitar-neck-how it feels-compared to ibby's for instance.

Ps...i would think it will sound nice with the EMG's, what did you pay for it if i might ask? Did you buy it in the US?

I also had a non-suctom shop awhile back. Changing the pickups would be a big mistake, they sound big and meaty. I think they are made by schaller. I wouldn't switch them.

I realize the emgs aren't original, but the originals came with it if I want to put them back in. Once I get to play it I will figure out which set I want in there. Jones'in to get back home and play this thing.

I did buy it in the US. As far as what I paid, well it was a deal and I will leave it at that
