NGD x2 - ESP & PRS

Since I am officially getting the shaft on getting limited edition Ibanez thru Chesbro, I have decided to venture off my original Ibanez path and see what else is out in the world I got two SMOKIN' deals (helps to know music store owners) and picked up a couple of beauties: a PRS McCarty Soapbar, and an ESP GL56. The PRS is a very nice guitar and gives me a tonal option I haven't had since my LP Jr. I am so happy with every aspect of this guitar, I ordered an Al Di Meola Prism model (see that in about 6 months). The ESP is probably the nicest "Strat" style guitar I've ever played, hands down. This guitar seriously can handle absolutely anything I throw at it. Questions, comments, ect., I'm glad to hear them.

That's just greedy

They're lookin' great. I can only imagine what that PRS must feel like!

Though a question about the ESP, how realistic is that "relic" finish on it?

VERY relistic! The best I can compare it to is a Fender Rory Gallagher, only it sounds much better. Must be that covered Pearly Gates

Thanks Mark. I've had my eye on that PRS for over a year. It was originally a custom ordered piece last year at wNAMM and the guy never picked it up. The store owner put it in his collection and when he was going to sell it, I grabbed it. The ESP fell into my lap much the same way, except it came from a collector. I've had the ESP for three days now and just put it down finally

Is it true that the ESP 'distress' is just a decal?

Very nice though

Nice man

What's the neck like on the ESP GL56? I'm thinking of the Vintage Plus, but the only thing holding me back is that I'm afraid the neck might be too thin for me.

A buddy of mine has a Vintage Plus. The necks are very similar, but the 56 profile is just slightly thinner.
