to tell you the truth I can't play a guitar with 22 frets...
/me points at Chris and laughs!!! LOL
I like musicman necks BECAUSE they're small and they feel just like my
Ibanez JPM
... Great tone, great feel and amazing playability... I also like the fact that they don't look so great because one CAN be mislead by a great finish. I think EBMM guitars are just stuff for serious musicians and purely no frills...
/me also hopes to own a sillouette special one day... once I've recovered from the investment I made on my new XL...

I've only just found this thread. Can't pass by without posting something here.
I've got a Gordon Smith GS1. Superb guitar. Natural finish. Flat wide neck, one humbucker in the bridge which can be tapped and one single coil in the neck. Wonderful tone.
I've also got a Hohner G2T. That's the very small headless Steinberger copy. I bought that coz my job entailed a lot of travelling and it's perfect for that. Quite a narrow neck but feels great to play.
These two cost me £400 together from evilbay. Absolute bargain.
What would I like?
Jem (obviously) I can't afford one but it's my ambition to get one when the money is more abundant.
A DNA would be best but I wouldn't turn any of them down (except the new one
)
A Teuffel Birdfish. Weirdest looking guitar ever but I'd love to have one.
A Blade RH4. Yet another Strat shaped guitar that's better than a Strat.
EB/MM Axis. Saw one at the weekend. Trans Black. Gorgeous.
Parker Fly
. Light , modern, great sound.
There's plenty more but those are my current dream machines.

There been a lot of votes for the EB EVH/Axis model here and I am in total agreement. I have played a few of these guitars and they feel and sound amazing (if totally different to my Jem). Of all the guitars I would like to own next, the EVH/Axis is top probably of the heap. I'm planning a little trip to the US of A with my laydee in June. If the price is right I might pick one up then. They are sooooo much cheaper in the States!!
I'd also love one of the original Washburn N4s with the extended cutaway.

I really like both the
EBMM JPM
and the Silhoette (sp?), they play really well. I love the look and the options of the Carvins, but I haven't had the opportunity to play one, which is what has kept me from buying one.

The Carvin necks are awesome - as good or better than any
Ibanez neck
I've played. *But I just don't like their body shapes as much as the Radius or Sabre shapes. *You can custom order a Carvin with a TON of options, though - as close to a custom axe as I've seen without really being custom. *If they offered a Radius
body shape
I would be on the phone that day ordering...

I've got a Schecter C1-Elite that I'm absolutely in love with. Good tone, great playability.. Reminds me of a PRS in terms of general feel, weight, etc.
I've got a soft spot for ESP's too, even though I don't own any right now..

I do like the rounded body option they have, it makes their guitars have more of a S shape to them.

Jacksons are the best (for wood electrics), Steinbergers are just the best electirics period, and i love my
Custom Shop
ESP and my fretless vigier excalibur surfreter supra. i like all of these better than any ibanez (except the JPM P1 and maybe the RG-Art, which i like as much, except nothing as much as my custom shop esp)

Jacksons ARE nice, but with their trademark square edges, the only body I can really dig is their Stealth (Sabre knockoff). *And their newer trems aren't great.
For the price, buying new, nothing beats a Carvin for value, IMO. *As for "best", it's all what you like.

I gotta agree with JESTER700 as I love my Carvin DC747. *But then I love all of my guitars (EBMM Axis,
Fender Deluxe
Strat, G&L Legacy, Heritage H150, Godin ACS... *even my old
Charvel Model
3). *
Here's
pics of them all.

Somewhere out there is a nice beat up old
olympic white
strat (maple neck) with my name on it. Oh, and a sunburst one with rosewood.
I also wouldn't mind a nice
Les Paul custom
...
Oh, and a parker fly (one of the wood bodied ones)

I like my ESP a lot. *It's a George Lynch model (sunburst tiger), great cutting, 80s glam rock tone.
I would also love to own a Wayne Guitars Meanie Green. *I've seen some Wayne Guitars "Rock Legend" models and the build quality and sound have been amazing. *I think the Meanie Green would be like having a handmade custom shop JEM. *

Ive owned an ESP MH-301, an Ibanez RG-270, and a Strat. the strat was a cheapo squier, but i want a fender one. i smashed the squier
*the ESP was only sorta mine, i gave it back when he got home from college hehe, and the RG-270 was my favorite. the ESP sounded totally bad ass, but ehhh just wasnt my kinda tone. and my ibanez played better than both. Although, my S classic will blow em all outta the water

ok...Ibanez to me is the perfect guitar...i dont care too much about 5a flamed maple tops and perfect stains that prs's have...im sure they're great sounding...looking...but to me its all about how it feels...if a guitar feels perfect but the pu's sound like sh*t...put better pu's in it...i dont think anything beats my 3120...mahogany body...lo pro...aanj...tone zone and paf pro...but ok...ill bite on this one
Ill go ahead and list both of my wish lists...this is Ibanez and non...
Jem 10th...duh
Jem7vwh
the new jem
jem90th
jpm-1
jpm-90th
rg metal
rg30
uv7bk
3120t-v
...ok...
EBMM JP-i tried one out today...i love how smooth the neck feels...id put different pu's in it...
Peavey wolfgang
-w/out a d-tuna...routed for floating trem...hehe
Jackson soloist
, blue with the binding and original floyd instead of the jackson floyd liscened trem. *AND...take out the duncans...put some evos or paf pro and tone zones in it...neck through with evos...scary...
Gibson Zakk Wylde model...i might eventually want a stop tail...maybe...
