try to find a usrg10. they show up on ebay sometimes. check the jemsite gallery for pics. (btw, you probably could buy 2 with $1200)

Well, the RG-7421 is a 7-string. *If you want a 7-string, go for a used RG-7621, there's a bunch on ebay. *If you want a 6-string, and can't afford the USRG10, I've heard good things about the RG-421.

The RG421 is awesome, I have one loaded with a TZ and an AN. I love it. But the RG10 is sweet too of course, if you can find one.

Actually, if you want to sink REALLY low price wise, the Squier Showmaster Sub-Sonic looks promising for the price. *I've played a couple Stagemasters (same guitars, just before the name switch) and they're not bad. *And they're really cheap. *Played a nice neck-through the other day...

wow, the usrg10 seems really nice
I am not so familiar with the U.S.A custom models so I am trying to expand my knowledge about them, and so far I´m really surprised by all the beauties......
what about jackson or is Ibanez the best non-trem guitar maker to?

Jackson doesn't make any good fixed bridge guitars anymore. They're all made in India now.

At least 2:

American:

Japanese:

The DX line is Indian, but rumor is that some (all?) of those are coming back to Japan for manufacture.

I stand corrected. I thought the DR6 I bought last year (and sold cuz the TOM bridge blows chunks) was the last of the Jap models. I did hear that they're all coming back to Japan.

Can that headstock on the Soloist be any uglier? Damn.

...and Carvin's another possibility. *Beautiful guitars, MANY options (darn near custom made), necks to die for (or kill for, depending on your personality... ;-)

more than likely my next regular guitar (after my bass purchase). Still don't know if it will be a 7 or a 6, but they're verey flexable with their fixed bridge options.
