OFR, EMGs?

A friend of mine asked me what I thought was the best new guitar out there for under a grand with an 81/SA/SA setup and OFR. I have no idea I would have thought a Jackson SL1, but it would need to be used, and likely beat up a bit as well. Any thoughts?

Schecter doesn't have any guitars with EMG SA pickups, or (I believe) any guitars that are SSH to begin with. I honestly don't know if any guitars come stock with 81/SA/SA setups and OFRs.

Funny I just was looking at a used RG760 on the Daddy's Junky Music site that looks pretty much what you're looking for. EMG's and Floyd and for around $500. Not sure what kind of EMG's are on it though.
