OLP branches out!

They now have designs licensed from Stuart Spector, including the very uncommon Spector guitar!

From a quick survey of a few online retailers, they're in the same ballpark. Slightly more expensive than the MM copies, but not much more. Very cool.

I never understood the Spector guitar... I mean, everyone knows you can get away with a butt ugly bass, but a six string that looks like that?!?

They are very good! There are a few people on here that highly rate them for budget guitars.

Obviously dont go expecting a JEM, cause you just wont get it.
But I love my OLP Axis to bits. They are just sooo good for the price.
he pickups is what amazed me - they sound better than quite alot of pickups i have tried, they are amazing really.

But I am sure someone else on here will have something to say about them!

OLP has a Petrucci model on the workout!!
As far as I know, it will have the same body contours as the EB/MM JPM, and the rest are OLP standard features.

I can't wait for this one!!

I'm sure Axis fans think the same thing about the OLP release of that guitar. At least the Petrucci won't say EBMM on it.

It will be good to see how that one works though - be good to see what it looks like and plays like comapred to the EBMM JPM.

There's a guy over at the Petrucci forum who keeps emailing OLP for updates on this guitar, and the last one said that John already received 4 guitars to try out. Once the body design and features are approved, the guitar will be on production, wich can take several months...so I don't expect this guitar to be out until next summer.
