Re: One of Agile's coolest offerings to date!

My local music shop took in a large shipment of BC Riches after listening to the impassioned please of all the local weenyrockers. It seems they then brought their parents round to actually buy the things...... the net result is that they have sold precisely NONE.

The new offer at the front desk is going to be something like : buy a pick and get a free BC Rich.

Personally I think it could hurt the pick sales.

Sorry, back to the subject at hand: why play a guitar that could, at any given moment, impale you? I thought the rock lifestyle was hazardous enough already....

Aren't goths allergic to crosses (inverted or otherwise), garlic and sharp bits of wood anyway?

My grandmother would slap me for owning a guitar like this.

Agile's aren't all that impressive when you're holding them in your hands and attempting to play them.
And this one looks like it fell out of a comic book.

Then we'll agree to disagree Jim. I own 5 Agiles right now. I've owned more expensive Ibanez, Gibson, etc. and they are on par with all of them. Aside from problems on two of them with the 3-way toggle, I've had no problems. They play well, sound great (even with the stock pups) and hold up extremely well.

Agile offers pretty good deals, no? That's what this thread should've been about before it got crapped on. I don't really like the V neither, but it has a unique look. What about Schecter, they have a model with bat inlays and one of their C1 models has gothic cross inlay. It's a "loud" looking guitar, as are many Jems, with their vine inlay and blindingly bright 80s neon color schemes.

Anyways, keeping on topic:

Have you owned/played the Septor 6 string model, or any of the neck-thru AG3000 models? I'm really interested in buying one of those. I'm also really curious about the thickness of the neck. I'm used to playing on a Wizard neck, the original 80s Wizard neck! So what's are those like, if you have played them?

So a thread about an Agile should be turned into a "XXX makes guitars with stupid inlays too" thread? Inverted crosses were evil, scary and original, when I was 14.

I've owned an Omen 6 and 7 and currently own a Schecter C-1. I'm told the AG-3000 comes close to feeling and playing like a C-1. I haven't played the AG-3000. I was ready to pull the trigger on it until I heard it was more like the Schecter than an Ibanez. Not that the Schecter is bad as it is a really good guitar. Regardless, for the price, the Agile is still a good value. You can get the flat black for $299 and the natural ash for $399. The only question is you can get a used C-1 for about $399 or so. Do you want a used Schecter or a new Agile? The nice thing is that the natural ash looks a lot like the RGA121, so if you don't mind a thicker neck, you can get that same look and style plus active electronics for a bit less money.

Rondo is in New Jersey, and I've been to the shop a few times. I've looked to buy one a couple of times, but never have because they always felt like dressed up cheap guitars to me. I've played many of them though, maybe 100 or so. But then I'm not a big fan of the recent Schecters either (to be nice).

They just put out another version in White, I must say...if it didn't have those lame cross inlays I'd buy it right now...
