Opinions on a GOTOH tremolo and this guitar...

http://www.palmbayguitars.8m.com/news.htm

Hey guys, looking at buying a palm bay guitar here in england... i love the look of these things , but would love to play one to find out. My main gripe perhaps is i have no idea how good a GOTOH locking bridge is? Any experiences would be brillaint!

cheers

Actually the edge is originally designed/manufactured by gotoh. These are top notch bridges. Although they do have different designs, specifically being that the gotoh is a milled system ala the original floyd rose.

Gotoh makes the Edges. They're great bridges. They're constructed like OFR's so they won't sound or feel like an Edge, but the manufacturing quality matches the Edge. They're superb.

That guitar looks great BTW, I just can't figure out why they needed to put Mahogany in the headstock.

Edit: ECHO echo....

I've got a Gotoh licenced FR on my custom guitar and they are absolutely brilliant. You'll love the trem arm holder too, it's the best around!

I have a Gotoh Floyd Rose in one of my guitars and it's working really well, no problems with it so far and it's nice to use, stays in tune well.

Never played a gotoh. I would obviously trust the opinions above, and at least it doesn't look like a mighty mite/trs type floyd.

I love Palm Bay guitars. You occasionally see them in shops in the UK and I always stop and stare.

I may have to start thinking about that as my next purchase (once I have bought the other two guitars I have earmarked.
