orville guitars

Did you guys heard of them? Most of the asian knows them isnt it? Quite suprise when i did a search on orville. It seems to be unknown. Hmm anyone own anyone of them? How are they? They are something like "fender japan" isnt it?

Orville guitars were the Japanese made Gibsons. They should not be confused with the Epiphone Elitist models. While Fender went with Fender Japan, Gibson decided to keep the Gibson name as US made only and created the Orville line of guitars which were made to 100% Gibson specs. The Orville brand of guitars were eventually stopped. (I forgot who made the guitars for Gibson but I think it was ESP at the time that made the Orville guitars).

The line was named Orville as the founders name was Orville Gibson. Great quality guitars if you can get 'em.
