They are both very quality instruments, so either way you go you won't be unhappy.
My preference is for the JP, which is why I just bought one.
I like everything about the JP which some ppl have already said (neck, body, peizo sound, acoustic qualities etc) and am very pleased. It's absolutely the most comfy guitar I have.
As for the Parkers, I've tried quite a few. A buddy of mine owns a store that is a dealer and could get me one for just below 50% of retail, so that piqued my interested even more.
Overall it's a very nice instrument and I do like them, but there are somethings that just don't suit me.
The body shape: it's just not comfortable. That upper horn is a pain in the ribs, literally. The guitar as a whole just doesn't feel um.. well.. substantial enough. I guess I'm sort of old-school and like to feel like I'm playing a piece of wood; something with some tone and soul to it. The Parker just didn't feel very guitar-like to me. I was also disappointed in the sound of the piezo's. I don't think they sound as good as the 2027's or the JP7's.
These are just my
personal gripes. As I said, they are both quality guitars and you can't go wrong either way imo. Just play them both and buy the one you like.
