Patrick Eggle Guitars - (big picture warning!)

Hi,

Just wanted to show off my Patrick Eggle (12 years old and counting). It is a classic and for me in many ways better than any PRS, but that as always is a matter of taste. This one is at least much more rare than a PRS. Also I have really abused her on gigs, but she still looks prisine. From a little bit of fret care and new setup, never had a problem.

Configuration:
- Single Piece Mahagony Body
- Glued Neck, single piece Mahagony
- Rosewood Fingerboard
- Dragon Humbuckers
- 3 way switch
- Vol pot.
- Tone push pull pot (pulled puts Humbuckers in Single Coil Mode)

Here is the puppy:

And another one:

Headplate:

Forgot: This guitars are actually made from hand selected wood and handmade in the UK.

That's beautiful! Congratulations.

I've been a fan of Patrick's work ever since I first saw Tony Iommi's Old Boy.

Cool. I remember trying out quite a few Eggle models when they first appeared on the scene. Very good guitars. They play really well!

Thanks.
Nicest thing is the fat sound due to the mahagony and SD Dragon humbuckers. Also the bridge is beside the MM Petrucci the only whammy I know that stays in tune and is not a FR type.

Very nice Vienna! I tried one of those, before I got my Berlin and was really tempted. Plays like a dream, congrats bro.

Nice Eggles, I've always wanted to give one a go. They pop-up on Evilbay UK quite regularly actually, and at good prices. And by all accounts they're PRS killer in many departments.

I remember going to the factory in coventry to spec out an eggle one day, but my life took a very different turn at the time and I never actually got round to it.

In the early 90`s they did a trans finish called pink glow which was just a fantastic electric pink but transparent AMAZING.

And, does anyone remember the hummingbird inlay, that was amazing too

Nice Eggles, my first guitar was a Vienna Pro which I managed to pick up second hand for £300 (incase you were thinking "Lucky bastard for a first guitar!")

I sold it, but it's in good hands, wish I'd kept it as after my Ibanez phase I'm kinda turning back to that vintage esq style of guitars now.
