Peavey Detonator AX - is this a good guitar??

Hi guys,

Does anyone knows anything about the Peavey Detonator AX? It looks like a strat but wif deeper cutaways and a scooped neck joint.

I saw one used but in good condition going for US$500. But I might get it lower at 450 or even less.

Is it worth it?

I had one YEARS ago.

Is it the one with the Floyd or strat bridge.
I think I paid like $300ish for mine new in 95'.

Good guitar & if I remember the stock humbucker was pretty good.

Unfortunately that was the 1st guitar I tried to scallop the neck...

Before it's untimely demise though...I thought it was a cool axe.

seriously, its too pricey. I'm bidding on a peavey Nitro Ltd instead. Now this one is HOT!!!

i've had 2, and i love em, i wish i could get more (for a decent price) i paid 250 for one with a case and 150 for the other without case from ebay. go for it if u find it in a decent price.

hey, thks for the reply. I've give up on the detonator ax, cause its too expensive, lost the bid on the nitro ltd, but got myself a godin SDxt which is on the way.

lets see wat the godin can do!
