Took this thing a step further. I completely stripped the finish. Then, using a heat gun, I burnt the softer parts of the wood grain and then brushed them with a copper brush. This brings out the grain of the wood. It then received two coats of ebony stain followed by two coats of wipe on polyurethane clear. I completely rewired the guitar, installed a new 3 way switch,
Duncan Designed humbuckers, Volume Pot from an Ibanez RG and created matching wood cavity covers. Gotta be honest, it's almost better looking than my black Nuno N4.
