Pics of my Frankenstrat
Neck from a mid 80's charvel #4 combined with a stock 01 MIM strat. I absolutely love it.
Classic strat
tone and a modern neck that you can shred on if you have to.
I have to treat the board and polish the frets but boy it plays great.

Re: Pics of my Frankenstrat
Cool! But
locking nut
and no locking trem? Reminds me of my old Squier! I could never afford a trem but only a
lock nut
. I had to tune it with a screwdriver, moving the saddles back and forth! Makes me laugh when I think about it now, I had no idea about intonation. Heh.

hahaha yeah I almost removed it without even trying it but it seems to not interfere with the locks left loose. and I just got finished intonating it so its ready for the road. I do a local set with some guys kinda informal a couple nights a week at a couple local pubs. I'm gonna try her out tomorrow night and see what happens.

Re: Pics of my Frankenstrat
Take the bolts and pads off the nut, and put some graphite (aka pencil lead) on the grooves...
I hate to leave the locks loose cause it rattles...
anyways, congrats, sounds like it paid off
