Pics of the guitar I'm having built

I know some of you guys are gonna think this is goofy or ugly. But to each their own. LOL

I received these pictures from the builder earlier today.
I wanted an old style Charvel San Dimas Body.
He will be installing a Dimarzio D-sonic with a 1 MEG pot and an Original Floyd Rose.

The black has small specs of silver in it.
He has several more coats of clear to apply and then wetsanding.
The neck will have Bomb inlays and jumbo frets.

As a guy who truly loves custom guitars (and owns nothing but), I've learned to judge em based on the quality of the work and not of what is or isnt my style. (not poking fun at you jax, just commentin').

That aside, this looks like a quality bod. Goin for mother of pearl for the inlays?

Yup, and owning a few myself, that's why I'm not going on aesthetic appeal, and leaning towards the fact that it's probably going to end up being a killer guitar.

Cool paintjob. Kinda reminds me of a Lynch kamikaze. What kind of pickups are you thinking about putting in?

The neck will be thin like a prestige, with Jumbo frets, and Black Bomb Inlays, the headstock will be an early Charvel Fender style.

The pickup is a Dimarzio D-Sonic.

Here's a picture of a guitar the builder is making for himself. He has a few more coats of clear to apply.

This guy does incredible work.

The next guitar he is doing for me will be a Random Star like Akira Takasaki played but with an ESP Hockey Style neck.

Both lovely guitars! Gorgeous top on that one he is building for himself, love the color choice as well. The silver flakes really pop in that second picture of yours too, that's gonna be a beauty.

Looks like a great start and I can't wait to see it when it's done. I'm in the old school Charvel/Jackson mode myself now too. I've recently picked up a '96 Charvel Bengal and I'm working out the details on custom build myself right now.

Who are you getting the neck through? More specifically, who's doing the inlay work?

Here's a picture of a Vivian Campbell Charvel, that the builder made.

It is the first time I have seen one of these other than the one Vivian played while in Dio.
