Pleasant surprise with my new Strat.
I've only been playing for about two months, so don't tease me.
But I bought a demo American Strat at a reduced price. The only mar on it was some gouges in the pick guard. No functional big deal.
But the gouges were right where I anchor my little finger and was getting on my nerves. It's not that the Strat was not perfect. It's just that they weren't "my" gouges.
So I started trying to smooth them out, somehow, and was about to buy a new pickguard. Then I noticed that the gouges would move around.
Long story/short: I peeled off the protective cover on the pickguard and the gouges disappeared.
