Please tell me what you think? - I sorta designed it, should

Here is that guitar I posted about wanting to build.

now I know what it should look like.
I'm not sure now if I'm to fond of the Root Beer look, but if you can come up with something bettre, I was then thinking Neon green with yellow pickups, I dunno
it's so hard..

Also thanks to whomever created the original Jem RB pic, I hope I have permission 8P

I think you would be financially ahead of the game to just buy a RB Jem.,. Thats all that essentially is w/o the claw route and monkey grip..

Think about a bit deeper before you waste you money on building a guitar...that you can practically already buy...

Just a realistic, rational opinion... not meant to offend but to deter from you wasting your bens..

If your going to make a guitar, go nuts.. This may not be your thing, but here is a pic of mine: notice the 27 fret neck scalloped from 21-27

It is currently being reswirled at ATD du to a huge color error..

Be sure to let us see the progress of yours

That's one of the advantagesof photoshop... If you don't like the look when you've drawn it out then you might want to think twice about having it built/building it yourself. More so in the case of the former.

Personally I think it looks like a halfway job between a JPM, a Rootbeer and a JEM PBK.

Seeing as how you're not really sure on the colour scheme and unless you're doing it as a building project yourself, I think Scott may well be right, buy a similar guitar (say either a PGM or a Petrucci) and refinish it rather than go completely custom.

Vwall, cool guitar, but I'm not actually building it, I'm piecing parts togeather. I'm not a fan of Jems perse, Especially ones with the clunky neck joint. I'm going the route of a custom JPM, but I don't want to buy a 1000$US guitar to refin it, when I can buy a 200$ body, 140$ neck and 300$ worth of parts and VOILA i have the guitar I want,
It's a colour issue with me, all the specs will stay the same.

If I bought an RB I wouldnt want to buy a beat up one, and I havn't seen any for sale in a long time that were in good shape, Plus back to the clunky neck joint, that is a big detracting factor to me, since I enjoy the upper frets quite a bit.

Thanks for the input, I wish I could get it swirled but my new amp parts take precedence.

Morbid Angel,

pretty nice guitar!! I was thinking to a cream white for p-ups, knobs and headstock instead of a pure white.
I think it will look better with RB finish.

Anyway, cool guitar!

That would be very cool
except the head is already white, so I'm not sure

but who knows what will come of this guitar

I might just have a custom EB/MM made by GMW to have a lo pro with piezo LOL

Hey, my first post was no sh-t sherlock, ...and they say watson wasnt the smart one..

but i decided just to change it to what it says now.. *

It wasnt intended to cap on you but rather point out your approval of my custom guitar..

There was a pun there with the "whatson" thing..

Did everyone else miss it too?¿?
