PRS McCarty

So i have been in the market for a McCarty for awhile. The one i want is the limited edition model which has a korena body and a brazilian rosewood fretboard. PRS told us origionaly they would make 500 of these guitars for the US. They ceased production of the guitar after they were unable to obtain the brazilian rosewood (evidentaly the people they were guying it from was either not giving them papers at all or fabricating their own, its a big mess really.) Does anybody know if they are ever gonna finish production of the limited edition McCarty?


Has anyone played the McCarty II? The new "MVC circut" sounds cool. Does anyone know if the maple top is still available?

Sorry, can't help on the McCarty front, but I can say they've stopped building the all-BRW necks. I believe they're still making the BRW fingerboards, but that may cease in the near future. Since they're moving to a new 100k sq ft facility production's slowed down and they've just now stopped taking Private Stock orders, too.
