True, but then again Gibson has the SG, Firebird, Melody Maker, Flying V, Explorer, ES series...and PRS does not. (Jimmy Page model has a coil tap switch under the pickguard.)

Hey, I respect PRS and they've got a good product, but you'll never find a 1959 Ten Top at a tag sale.

I was making a statement based on their most popular models. As for the Gibsons, I think the models that are really selling are the LPs, SGs and the ESs. The Firebird, Flying V, and Flying V are basically show guitars (yes I know they're axes nice, too). The Melody Maker is a budget model, so usually beginners go for them. As for the Page model, the only people that would buy an LP with a coil-split like that would be die-hard LP fans, collectors, and die-hard Zeppelin fans. Its friggin' expensive compared to the CU24 and I would buy a CU24 over a Page model first.

Re: PRS wins! Singlecut lives! Gibson screws themselves!

I used to be a LP guy and had about 9 of them at one time (about 2yrs ago). I always thought they were overpriced for what you got. Most of the ones I had had very shotty inlay work and didn't stay in tune very well.

I then bought a PRS CU22....WOW! Impeccable craftsmanship. When I opened the box and plugged it in it was already perfectly in tune. The intonation was spot on and the action was killer. I now own 9 PRS CU22's! Everyone one of them plays and sounds just as good as the other.

I was gassing for a LP about 3 months so I went to GC and tried about 5 LP Standard Plus's out. I picked the one with the best top and bought it. It didn't play that great but I thought after a setup job it would be ok. While it does play a little better it does have that "cheap" guitar feel to it. I hate to say that but that's the only way I can describe it.

IMO - The PRS guitars are just better than (newer) Gibson’s.

Honestly, the whole lawsuit was total bullpoopy....we already knew that..LOL
If PRS and Gibson really want to go head to head, offer the Singlecut and the LP Standard for the same price for 1 year, cut NO corners, and lower the price on both to about 1000-1250 USD. Then see who kicks who's ass.
