Rats, I pushed the button. The N3 N4 Nuno is mine!

Phew,

Need to sit down for a while. Just bought the most expensive guitar I've ever bought blindly: A Washburn N3 N4, only 20 made for FunkyMunky's, based on nuno's 3rd prototype. <wiping sweat of the forehead>. It will take a long trip over the Atlantic. <fingers crossed>. I'll keep you posted.

UPDATE: The N3 ARRIVED FINALLY !

Seems well packed, although a little more cardboard wouldn't have hurt:

Aaarg... a universal fit (or read nothing to fit) case. Seems that washburn uses these for quite a while now. I don't get this, the guitar can move around when the case is closed, and that ended up giving problems...

Holy cr*p on a cracker... I really didn't like discovering this. Look at the difference in clearance there. And besides that, that gap between the Stephen's Cutaway and the body could be use to store picks:

Seems that the neck screws weren't tight at all, no surprise the neck got dislocated during an adventurous flight over the Atlantic, in the £%$^ù$* of a case. But luckily we have N-freak Ayrton on board here at Jemsite, who reassured me and gave me some pointers. Everything got fine. Thx Ayrton !

CHECK NEXT PAGE in this thread for following pictures, and a nice surprise !

I have to say that if I had an unlimited guitar budget, I'd be getting one of those for myself. --Jason

My secret dream is that in a few years, after a few owners, someone will mistake one of them for the old Korean-build N3s and sell it for far far less than it's worth - to me. Heheh.

Dammit I'm so developing an N series crush.

He did say he bought it blindly and it has to travel all the way from the US. Give the guy a chance.

So basically, a N4 relic with maple fretboard and different pup.

Is the neck profile the same as the N4 Relic?

Re: Rats, I pushed the button. The N3 N4 Nuno is mine!

i normally dont like *any* signature / signature series guitars but the N range are very cool indeed.. I have a cheapo N2 bought blind from the bay and it's one of the most comfortable, easy to play guitars I've got and it sounds pretty decent to... IMHO better than my RG's

how much would one of these N3's cost???

Hehe, live pics will follow as soon as I get it. Every pic from cardboard to details Just got a mail that it is already on it's way. Jaaaj!

Some little extra background in this N3 release if you dig details:
http://iheartguitar.blogspot.com/200...r-randall.html

Indeed... wonder why Washburn/Nuno decided to leave the 24 fret design. All other N's have always had 22 frets right ? Harmonic/scale wise this should be a better choice no? But if it'd had to be a 100% N3, I'd have to agree Jono.
