Replacement Necks - Strat Head

I was wondering if anyone had good experience with Warmoth's necks?

Quality of work, feel, built to specs ...

From what I've heard they are made to retrofit Strats without any issues and their workmanship is great.

What kind of Strat do you have Rich? Do something daring and put a JS1000 neck on it, it should retrofit w/o issues.

Well it's not for my Strat, more of a possible project guitar, but wanted to know more info. I have seen a Warmoth Strat around on Jemsite, but wanted other opinions.

Heres my Strat, which I love the way it sounds and plays.

I have two Warmoth necks, and I am very pleased with both. I put them Fender bodies and the fit was better than the stock neck.

Re: Replacement Necks - Strat Head

I bought a Warmoth reverse Explorer-style-headstock neck years ago, and the quality was terrific. the mistake I made was not realizing that the guitar store ordered it for me with a boat neck profile, and I just never could get used to the thinkness of it. Make sure you order the correct profile, the first time.

Re: Replacement Necks - Strat Head

I've just ordered a solid Rosewood extra wide Strat neck from Warmoth in the boatneck profile with Stainless Steel frets for a guitar I am making - I figure that much wood just has to sound good! Will do a review of it when it finally arrives. (I suspect the Warmoth rep is currently trawling around the Amazon basin looking for a Rosewood tree stump!)

Everything I have seen from their workshop is fantastic - they do vintage Fender style sunbursts far better than Fender do!
