Rosewood Wolfie???

I got a nice Wolfgang not too long ago and I'm converted. These guitars are very, very nice! Suit my taste and feel very well. I was checking out the Peavey website and found out you can get them with Rosewood fretboards. Anyone seen one? I have a trade ad on HC for one but have had no luck with it. Just wondering how rare they are...

The rosewood fretboards are not that rare, but I think that they have to be ordered through the custom shop.

Chromeboy,
They have that option listed on their main website, not the EVH Custom Shop. I do think they are quite rare, I have never seen one for sale on ****, and I've been looking for some time. **** is the fleamarket for the world. Love it or hate it...

I thought it had to be requested, also?

Eddie,
Here is the link that shows that the standard, everyday Wolfgang comes with the Rosewood board, not just the custom shop...

http://www.peavey.com/products/amps_...herryburst.cfm

2nd to last on the features shows you can have one with rosewood. I have never seen one. I think they are as scarce as they come. But if anyone knows where one is, please post pics or links....

OOPS!
I meant that you may have to request one with a rosewood board with no extra charge, but assembly is mainly birdseye. Do you have a pic of one with a rosewood board...I would like to see that!

Hmmm... I like the maple neck better on a wolfgang, dunno why. Just the look of it seems more fitting for this guitar.

Don't get me wrong, I love the rosewood on my JEM, though

Eddie,
I don't have a pic. I've searched all over but have had no luck. I did get an email from a guy with a quilt top Wolfie with an ebony board. That makes me drool just a little!

I saw one with a rosewood board in a Sam Ash in New Jersey a while ago, so they definitely exist. I thought it was odd at the time, because I too believed that was a custom-only option, and couldn't see why they'd order a custom to sit in store stock, but now I know.

It just looks too dark and uninspiring without the maple board.

you think a rose wood wolfie is nice......the ebony fretboard is outta this world!! I though they couldn't do anything to make that neck any better...boy was I wrong...I've thought about sending my neck in to the custom shop to get a ebony fretboard put on...but its too much time away from my wolfie...

Musicians Friend now carries Wolfgangs. so I ordered one, a black Special,
anyhow it shipped with rosewood. When I called to clear it up (I wanted maple) they said rosewood fingerboard was all they could get. $899USD with free shipping at the time.
