Schecter American Series
I dunno if this has been posted (if not, then why?!), but take a look at these:
http://www.schecter.co.jp/american.html
I'm guessing that they're MIJ's since with their specs they're too cheap to be MIA's and the Diamonds (MIK's) are listed as a seperate series. I'm seriously gassing for these:
NV-III 24
SD-II 24
Ikebe's selling them at roughly $1000. I'm surprised that no one has even mentioned these beauties on these here forums, since they're definitely RG-like, except with better specs (very subjective, since not all here have love for the OFR). It also has an AANJ if you must know.
Oh well, better start saving...

Re: Schecter American Series
Those are MIJ (Schecter is actually an ESP owned brand in Japan). I'd love to get an SD-II 24, just needs a matching headstock (maybe I should get one as my next axe.)

Thanks budd, now that that's cleared up my GAS has just gone up another level
. IMO matching headstocks will only work with a rosewood or
ebony fingerboard
. I say leave it if it's maple 'boarded.

Don't Tom Andersons have multiple sets of strap buttons like that? I thought the idea was that your guitar would more balanced, more secure resting on 2 pins instead of 1 when you lean it up against an amp.
But don't quote me on it.

Well I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But the term 'legendary' is used for either good or bad. But how are they legendary?

Yeah Andersons (and the original Schecters made by Tom Anderson, Rudy Pensa and
John Suhr
) do have those multiple pins. Those pickups, and the whole guitars really, look very much to me like the ones Anderson makes now.

Re: Schecter American Series
Man, those are stunning!!!
Just like Tom Andersons and John Suhrs, I want one!
SD-II or NV-III would be nice and with
rosewood fretboard
. Although
maple fretboard
looks better on those pics. It's a pity that they don't make them with HSS configuration.

Re: Schecter American Series
Those look pretty good. I'd prefer a H/S pickup config, but other than that... YEAH!
