Not sure what Schecters you've played but I've found just the opposite on the ones I've played.
They are different guitars plain and simple. Quality is like comparing Korean Ibanez to Japan Ibanez, so just on the sum of the parts, style of build and the level of craftmanship you really can't compare.
The Schecter BJ FR is a set neck, mahaognay neck, mahogany body w/ OFR. The RG2570 is a bolt on maple neck to a basswood body with most likely and EP bridge which just makes them a different animal from each other.
I own quite a few Ibanez RG style axes and I'd still like to grab a new FR Black Jack Schecter, they feel nice (if you like a gloss neck), play nice and sound THICK (real SD pups, can't go wrong there) and I like the classy look and even the cheesy black jack inlays.
Just my 2cents.
