Should I get this?

I'm planning on selling my strat as I don't use it and I want another rock guitar. So I'm browsing Music Go Round, and I find this: Peavey Wolfgang for $499.99. Sweet! Should I save up and get this, and how long do you think it will probably be there.
Also, would $150ish be a good price for my Squier Strat? It's still a great guitar, but I don't play it. Would having a new pickup in raise or lower the price? Please give your thoughts.

Thanks

That's the import. Just keep your eye out for a USA special on the various auction sites, get a better guitar, for around the same dough.

I would definatley replace a squier strat for that. That's a nice guitar, but if you want something better, save up. "You get what you pay for"

Re: Should I get this?

That's actually a good price for a nice looking Korean Wolfie, a USA one will tend to run you a lot more. And, despite my hate for most Ibanez Korean models, I've been VERY happy with my Korean Wolfgang. The feel is nice, the pickups sound pretty good, and everything is very well constructed (which has been my problem with the sub-Asian Ibanez market).

As for how long it will be there, from what I've seen those are going on the regular (non-evilbay) used market for about $600 to $700, so that is a good price.

And the worth of your Squier depends on the model. If it's an Affinity, the you probably won't get that much for it, since you can get them for under $100 on the bay. But, if it's a nicer one, then you might be able to get that much. Do some research and figure out what they are going for in similar condition. As far as pickups, it's hard to tell what people will want. You may actually be better off selling the guitar with the original pups and selling the replacements separately.

That's my $.02, and good luck getting that Wolfie, you'll like it if you do.
