Hey everybody, I just got done doing a pretty cool paint job that I was sure some of you here would like so I thought I would share it. Its not completely done yet, still got a few graphics to add to the front and finish up the headstock but I felt like you guys deserved a sneek peak. Enjoy!!

OK, so the headstock is changing. Anything else hardware/electronics wise?

Not detracting at all, just interested: why an ankh rather than a Celtic cross as the centrepiece?

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it. I've spent alot of time on this guitar, and have to say its probably the most elaborate paint job I've done yet. No, no scratch plate. All black hardware and black EMG's will be what the customer will be putting in it, but we have to reinstall the nikel hardware and pickups it came with.....which I don't think will look terrible but I think the black hardware and EMG's will look better. The headstock is silver of course and has a pretty cool celtic knot symbol in the middle and the Gibson logo airbrushed in black then drop shadowed to give the illusion its floating above the headstock.

I'm suprised you knew what kind of cross that was. We went with the Ankh cross, or what I call the Egyptian cross b/c thats the cross the customer wanted.....which is in a band that will be opening for Days of the New some. Their called Reflections Burn and their stuff sounds REALLY good. They have a myspace page if you want to check out any of their music.

Beautiful x twice - the 3D relief on that is stunning! You normally only see that kind of shading with a tattoo needle.

What are you using here? Airbrushing with a nitro finish?

Airbrush. I use PPG paint, which is urethane.
