Re: soloist
I've played a few new SL1s and SL2Hs and many of them were very poor especially for the price, but others were really good too. There is a local store that sells them in the $1500-1700 range too if you're near Massachusetts and you can find them used for under $1300 easily.

Re: soloist
I ordered the soloist! Maybe later I'll get an Ibanez prestige and compare the two. Don't want a jem though. Those ESPs are mighty tasty too - would've seriously considered the M2 if it wasn't for the thick neck. Would buy a KH2 if it wasn't for those childish skull and crossbones inlays!

Re: soloist
I have 3 ibanez guitar's with an RGT302q on the way and I still like my Jackson SL1 the most.
You made a wise decision.
Here is my SL1

Re: soloist
My MII is probably one of my nicest and best playing guitars I have. It's neck-thru, and it's really not that bad at all. I actually don't like really thin necks, though.
The DK1 is not that bad, I actually probably like them a little better than the SL2H's. But they only come with EMGs.
Neck-thru guitars are great. One's not better than the other; seems like I set some people off by suggesting to get the soloist because it's neck-thru. I was just really listing the specs of it.
I think you'll be really happy with the SL2H. I've played a few I love, I've played a few I hate. But that's just how it goes.

You have that sick ass guitar but that old ass TV? There's something wrong with this picture (although at least you got your priorities straight!).

Re: soloist
That's an 80's tv, just like that's an 80's guitar.
