Very cool, I'd rather have this than a Variax. Although I probably wouldnt buy either, I will check this out.

I love Fender guitars and amps but this new model does nothing for me; but the innovative spirit is still there.

Great company, it's going from strength to strength.

Wow, that is very cool. I love the way Fender keeps its original great design as pure as possible while adding features unobtrusively.

I like the ad a hell of a lot more than I like the guitar.

Fender's dead to me until they release a quality SSH 22-fret stratocaster 7-string.

This works on a regular jack? No floor box like the Variax?

Re: Something cool for us Fender freaks at NAMM

It's not clear from the pictures, but is there a 13-pin out jack for the Roland pickup? It's nice having the GK pickup there but if it's only for a mini-version of the Roland VG system on-board with no way to connect it to a full VG system or a guitar synth- why not just buy a Roland-ready Strat (or a GK pickup to install on your favorite guitar) and plug it into whichever system you want? VG-88's and the GR synths are extremely cheap used now.

volume knob on the wrong place.
i don't need it unless they launch a 7 string strato with wizard neck, 25 frets and full humbuckers

Re: Something cool for us Fender freaks at NAMM

the VG strat doesn't do anything for me.

I just prefer an American (or Mexican) Strat with a standard vintage trem or with a floyd. (Of course in a HSS Config too)
