Checked it out and some nice basic guitars for cheap....

Hey Jeff

I am not sure which guitar you looked at as i can not get the link to work, but that thing arrived today and its a 2x4. All hardware is just crap. Really not worth it. The body is NOT ready to paint, it needs to be sanded with way finer grits than it currently is. The "workmanship" is just ... you know. There is glue all over the binding. The frets and all other metal parts are tarnished.... The neck itself was straight and feel nice. The guitar needs ALOT of TLC and a replacement of all hardware. Mine even has some wormholes in the back. First guitar with termite damage.....

Thanks for the review and sorry to hear about that. The price seems too low to be good. I had emailed them and asked if the guitar was ready to play. They replied that it could be after some minor tweaks....if that's what they meant by minor tweaks, imagine major tweaks.
Anyways, gonna pass on these.
Can you return it?

thanks again,

jeff

Re: Star Power Guitars anyone?

I paint guitars for an artist named Bobby Ferrara, he's a big shredder and he plays Star Power guitars, they have a custom shop model that they sell thats for him. He had them build it but then sent it to me to paint. The one I got didn't have any issues other than I had to lightly sand it a little smoother, which most brand new guitars require anyways.

If you haven't heard of Bobby Ferrara and you like 80's rock and shredding solos and melodic stuff you definitely need to check out his site at http://www.heavensreign.us/main.html

I have no intention to return it, the shipping back and forth is almost more than i paid for it. It was only 205 bucks total. But you are better off not too touch them if you don't plan to sand and paint and i just noticed that the bridge is crooked

Isn't that the new model that they are getting ready to release though (their own design). I think the one in this case is one of the Chinese copies.....the EVH 5150 Kramer maybe????
