Strat or 7 String?

Hey guys/gals I was thinking about maybe getting a new guitar this summer. Im kinda looking for a "cheap" guitar around $400. I curently have a mexi strat standard(it sux ass)..jackson dinky? (has original floyd rose and duncan pickups) i keep it tuned down and a RG450 which I use the most cause I like the neck and guitar overall. I was thinking a RG7321 would be a decent 7 string for me but i guess they dont make it anymore so Im looking for a RG 7 string cause I like playing Korn stuff but It doesnt sound right to me on my jackson. I like to play punk and pop punk stuff as well so I was looking at the Tom Delonge Strat but they want $500 for this single pick up guitar. It sounds good to me for what it is but I want a guitar with at least two humbuckers or a s s h set up or h s h pickups. Id like a american strat with a humbucker on the bridge but its more than I can afford. My question is which would you choose...the Tom Delonge Strat or RG7321? (or which ever this models replacement is)

Im not in a band or wish to be. I just play for fun which is another reason why I set my budget low. I like to play stuff like Korn,Rancid,Metallica etc.

find a fat strat that feels how you like guitars to feel in your hands, put a tone zone in the bridge, and downtune the guitar to B.
You will focking love it!

I would suggest the 7 string, because when I got one I just loved it to death, and I still do. But I think we might like different music, so get whatever feels good to you. Also weigh the pros and cons against each other for each guitar. That usually helps.
