I'm having trouble finding the right
string guages for my style. *I play mostly covers, and some original stuff. *It's a combination of Korn/finger eleven/Metallica (downtuned) rhythm stuff, Tea Party songwriting (weird tunings, lots of middle eastern influence, etc), and Vai style leads. *I've tried using the GHS (?) Boomers TNT (thick-thin) set, and that worked perfect for my rhythm stuff but sucked for lead stuff. *I'm currently using Deam Markley 09s and they're great for lead, but suck for rhythm, cuz I can't go even slightly out of standard tuning or even play aggressively without getting flop and my guitar going out of tune. *Suggestions?
