String Spacing and Fretboard width

What is the minimum possible string spacing that would still allow you to play comfortably?

I have very short fingers so I was thinking of getting a custom neck made but I just wanted to know how narrow you could make the fretboard without the strings getting too close to each other.

K, this is back to personal preference the way i see it. *But for bending on the g string it seems you could probably reduce it bout another 6-8 mm. *Mind you i made this calculation in about 30 seconds. *Measure the neck your gonna be working off of then bend the loosest string (usually the g) at about the 12th fret as high as you can without breaking it. *then try and see how much space there is between the string and the top of the fret board.
